Dachshund Races and Rescued Dog Reunion

Panting pooches, pounding paws, and towering trophies await on June 12, 2025, at the Festival Gardens across from the Abilene Zoo as we crown this year's Grand Champion Racer.

It's the most fun on four feet anywhere in the galaxy! Over 100 Dachshunds will run, cavort, sniff, and bounce over the race course.

Plus, we want to meet every Rescued Dog in West Texas at our Rescued Dog Homecoming and Reunion (open to all breeds), which is held just before the races start. This is one of the greatest family fun evenings anywhere, and it's FREE!
