ABOUT REGIONAL COMMUNITY FUNDS
The Foundation has the ability to manage endowment funds established by another community. It is a great way to remove the administrative burden from a family or regional foundation so they can focus on the impact they wish to make.
The Foundation manages the following regional community funds:
- Coleman County Foundation
- Friends of the Coleman County Foundation
- Nolan County Foundation
- Winters Area Foundation
COLEMAN COUNTY FOUNDATION (CCF)
The Coleman County Foundation (CCF) was established in 1999 as a vehicle for philanthropy in Coleman County.
CCF's fund is managed by the Community Foundation of Abilene, and the earnings from these assets are used to make grants to nonprofits serving various needs to improve the quality of life for residents in Coleman County.
The Coleman County Foundation is governed by a nine-member board composed of civic and business leaders from Coleman County.
Its members include:
- President: Marsha Spinks
- Vice President: John Robertson
- Secretary: Hayden Wise
- Members: Logan Bell, Jimmy Chambers, Tammy Davis, Debbie Marrs, Terra McMahon, and Mark Swening.
Since inception, the Coleman County Foundation has awarded more than $1.3 million to charitable community organizations for the betterment of the communities located in Coleman county.
