Wilburn H. “Blue” Denham Memorial Scholarship

The Wilburn H. “Blue” Denham Memorial Scholarship is in honor of a long-time Abilene resident. Mr. Denham, a chartered life underwriter and agent in Abilene from ‘47 until 2000, served as president of the greater Abilene Kiwanis. As a Texas A&M graduate (class of ‘40), Mr. Denham was dedicated to promoting area agriculture by encouraging youth in agriculture/conservation practices. Mr. Denham served as president of the Abilene Livestock Show Association and chaired the Education Committee and Agriculture Committee of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce.

• Abilene High or Cooper student planning to attend Texas A&M
