Abilene Founder Lions Club - A.E. Wells Scholarship

Mr. Wells was a prominent Abilene educator, civic leader, and long-time member of the Abilene Founder Lions Club. He was the superintendent of AISD for twenty-three years. “Poly” Wells earned the nickname for frequently wearing his bright orange Polytech High lettermen at ACU. His legacy continues to be remembered each year when the Abilene Founder Lions Club selects a worthy student for this distinguished scholarship.
 

Eligibility

• Must be an Abilene High or Cooper High student.
• Be ranked in the top half of students but not the top 25 
• Must be planning to attend Abilene Christian University, Hardin Simmons University, or McMurry University.
