The Big Country VOAD is requesting volunteers again on Tuesday — barring any tornadoes overnight — as we continue Abilene recovery efforts from Saturday’s tornado.
Volunteers will work inside at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church gym only. We need people who have computer and/or people skills tomorrow and for the next few days — 9 am to 3 pm. 2 or 3 hour shifts.
A multi-agency recovery center for all who’s homes were damaged by the tornado are encouraged to come to Pioneer Drive Baptist Church gym starting Tuesday, 10 am to 2 pm, to meet with recovery agencies, plus refreshments, and supplies.
People may also continue to phone in their needs by dialing 2-1-1, choose your language; select option 1.
