Giving Opportunities & Events

Hello, and Happy New Year! 

Here is a snapshot of the giving opportunities and events for the year ahead. We will notify you via email and/or mail whenever key dates are confirmed.

  • Late January - grant catalog for Future Fund grant cycle. Donors can make a gift or donor-advised fund grant to support nonprofit grant applicants serving children and youth.
  • February 8 - Investment Forum featuring updates on market performance and fund investment strategies. 
  • Early March - grant catalog for spring discretionary grant cycle. Donors can make a gift or donor-advised grant to support nonprofit grant applicants.
  • Week of April 25 - early giving for Abilene Gives, a 24-hour day of giving to support local nonprofits at abilenegives.org.
  • May 3 - Abilene Gives is from 12 a.m. to 12 a.m. Give at abilenegives.org, or make an early gift from your donor-advised fund and/or as a sponsor.
  • Mid August - Friends of the Community Foundation gathering.
  • Early October - grant catalog for fall discretionary grant cycle. Donors can make a gift or donor-advised grant to support nonprofit grant applicants.
  • November 10 - CFA Annual Luncheon at 11:45 a.m.
  • Late November - Holiday giving grant catalog to support local nonprofit year-end needs.
  • Late December - year-end giving deadlines.
