Buffalo Gap Historic Village
FREE, open to the public
A popular annual event, the Buffalo Gap Historic Village collaborates with the Center of Contemporary Arts in Abilene and area school districts for this family-friendly festival.
Students from 1st to 12th grade make scarecrows, following a theme selected each year. The scarecrows are displayed on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at the Village. There are all the fall-festival rituals — lawn games, face painting, arts and crafts, food vendors, and music.
