Stacy Horton Sanchez loved art and she loved people.
Stacy was an encourager to all and believed that everyone should have the opportunity to reach their highest potential.
As an art teacher at Wylie High School, Stacy wanted all of her students to succeed and find happiness and to have the freedom to fully express themselves through art.
Stacy also cared deeply for her alma maters, Jim Ned High School and McMurry University.
The Señora Stacy Horton Sanchez Scholarship was established in 2018 to honor her legacy and carry on her mission to spread love for humanity and her passion for education and art.
This college scholarship is for graduating seniors at Jim Ned or Wylie High School who plan to major in art or education. More information on how to apply is coming soon.
