11th Children's Art + Literacy Festival

Get ready for three and a half days of fun at this annual children’s picture book festival, which celebrates the summer artist on exhibit at the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature. The festival kicks off with the Storybook Parade, storybook sculpture unveiling and sketch with the artist on Thursday night. Attend readings and shows all day Friday and Saturday downtown. On Sunday, wear your CALF pass to the Abilene Zoo and get in for free and enjoy additional programming in the morning. Earn up to 15 buttons for your lanyard!

Ticket info: Free for ages 2 and under; $8 for ages 3-12; $13 for ages 13 to adult until May 15; after that day passes are $11 for ages 3-12 and $16 for ages 13 to adult.
