Scholarship Reception 2007
The Community Foundation of Abilene held its annual scholarship reception for the recipients of various scholarships awarded from funds held at the Community Foundation. Over $110,000 was awarded to approximately 50 seniors from area high schools in recognition for their exemplary academic performance and achievements.
Many of the scholarships were established by donors in memory of loved ones or to benefit graduates of local high schools. As a lasting legacy, each scholarship enables our future leaders to pursue their dreams. The student recipients have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, community service, talents, and special interests, in accordance with the criteria for each scholarship.
