Supporters of the Community Foundation have many charitable goals, but all share the important goal of improving our community - now and in the future. Your gift to the Friends of the Community Foundation ensures that charitable agencies receive assistance in funds as well as technical expertise and that more donors find ways to use the Foundation and to help Abilene.
The tax deductible Friends membership assists us in enhancing our grantmaking and scholarship programs, customizing services to donors and charitable organizations and providing a lasting resource for future generations.
Your gift to the Friends will support:
- The Endowment Challenge - a five part seminar series designed for local charities, assisting them in building endowments for their organization and providing tools for effective fundraising
- Our continued efforts to market and communicate the value of charitable giving -to all local charities
- Seminars and workshops for attorneys, CPA's and other financial professionals emphasizing the role of planned giving in keeping our community strong
- Grants to over 125 area charitable organizations for program assistance.
