Katie Alford, President (cfa@abilene.com) - Katie was named President/Chief Executive Officer in June of 2009. Previously she had been the Foundation's Finance Director.
Katie works with donors to assist them in carrying out their charitable goals. She often meets with attorneys, accountants and other professional advisors in order to assist their clients with estate planning. In addition, she staffs the Executive and Investment Committees of the Foundation. Alford's role is to assess community needs and work with charities to improve Abilene.

Nita Slaton, Operations Manager/ Scholarship Director (mailto:nslaton@abilene.org)
Nita has worked for the Community Foundation since February, 2004.
As Operations Director, Nita oversees internal operations to ensure that each endowment fund is handled appropriately and instructions, records and files are maintained. She assists the President with new fund development. As Scholarship Administrator, she oversees the 54 scholarship funds, their selection committees and scholarship recipients.

John Anderson, Finance Director (janderson@abilene.com) - John joined the Foundation in July of 2009. He is a recent graduate of Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Accounting.
John is in charge of the financial administration of the Foundation's funds totaling over $70 million. He is the principal communicator for financial matters to the Board and Audit Committee. John works with agencies requesting endowment disbursements as well as provides financial reports and other information to donors.

Nancy Roberts, Marketing / Communications Director (nroberts@abilene.com) - Nancy joined the Foundation in June, 2006.
Nancy is responsible for keeping the foundation in the public eye. She coordinates the design and production of all communication and marketing materials. Public and media relations are also part of her role as Communications/Marketing Director. Nancy also serves as the foundation's event planner by overseeing events showcasing the foundation, donors, and the work being done at the foundation.

Courtney Jackson, Grants Director (cjackson@abilene.com) - Courtney has been with the Foundation since August, 2007.
Courtney oversees various grant committees throughout various grant cycles for awarding funds to local agencies. She works with nonprofits in the community to assist them in many ways. Courtney will be researching broad community needs in concert with the Community Relations committee and assessing how the Community Foundation can assist neighborhoods and nonprofits in making our community the best it can be. She will also work with nonprofits in Coleman County and administer grant cycles in Coleman County.

Marva Kissee, Office Administrator / Asst. Donor Services (mkissee@abilene.com ) - Marva began working for the Foundation in March, 2008.
As the receptionist, Marva is usually the first person you see when you visit the Community Foundation of Abilene. She is responsible for administrative duties including work flow, scheduling, and answering the phone. She is the one to contact to respond to a meeting or an event invitation. She is now the liaison with the Community Foundation's donor advisors and assists them with their grant recommendations. Marva also coordinates the Foundation's board meetings, donor correspondence, and publication mailings.
